Can evolutionist and creationist both be connected on how living organisms evolved on Earth? There have been many debates over which one is correct and which one is incorrect. Evolutionist use facts that has been found around the world to prove life has evolved and there is no intelligent design. The intelligent design group debates that life or the universe cannot have arisen by chance and scientists have not proven how life was created. The question is why Evolutionist do not believe in intelligent design and intelligent design group does not believe in evolution?
Scientist believe in what can be proven as a fact through scientific method. The notion of believing in something that cannot be viewed or observed goes against everything they have studied and their beliefs. Scientist trust in information that has been gathered to support the facts in how life has evolved on Earth by natural selection. Natural selection was introduced by Charles Darwin an English naturalist and geologist that traveled around the world, observing the evolution of life on earth. Charles Darwin formulated natural selection in 1835 when he traveled the Galapagos Islands with Alfred Russel Wallace another naturalist and explorer. Natural selection is described as living organism adapting to their environment pressures, predators, changes in climate and the competition of everyday life with their peers. Evolutionist believe natural selection is how organisms have evolved versus intelligent design because they have witnessed and observed this theory.
Intelligent design claims the universe and its inhabitants could not have evolved by blind chance and they believe there had to be an intelligent designer behind evolution. This designer could be God, an extraterrestrial race or supernatural force that had to oversee the evolution of living organisms. Intelligent design group is not the same as creationist. Creationist believe God designed earth and everything in it. Intelligent design does not disregard the intelligent designer can be God, however, this group believes in the possibility of another force. Phillip E. Johnson said in Darwin On Trial, “ Darwinist scientists believe that the cosmos is a closed system of material causes and effects, and they believe that science must be able to provide a naturalistic explanation for the wonders of biology that appear to have been designed for a purpose. Without assuming those beliefs they could not deduce that common ancestors once existed for all the majors group of the biological world, or that random mutations and natural selection can substitute for an intelligent designer.” Intelligent design group do not believe evolution happened accidentally and they believe in scientific proof.

They do not agree with creationist that God created living organism nor do they disagree. The intelligent design group believes in some sort of intelligent entity helped began evolution. In American their many different types of parties and religion groups that have their own opinion on how living organism evolved. Intelligent design can be described as the happy medium for many people. This topic reminds me of a Friends episode when two characters are debating on evolution. Ross a paleontologist is trying to prove to Phoebe a friend of his that natural selection was the reason for evolution. Phoebe expresses to Ross “I am not saying evolution did not happen, but my question is who put them there”, by them she is referring to the living organism. Later in the show she ask Ross, “if he is so egotistical that he cannot consider that he could be wrong”. Ross folds to be a nice guy and says, “There can be a tiny bit of a chance he can be wrong”. She then gets excited and says she lost her respect for him since he abandoned everything he believed in. Based on my belief system, I believe God was the creator of living organisms and everything on Earth. However, I do be leave that the living organisms evolved by natural selection.
